Meet the Executive Board


Co-Chair: Sarah Pillen

Sarah and her husband, Brock, have four children enrolled in the Saint Isidore School System. Eloise – 2nd Grade, Henry and Harrison – Kindergarten, and Thomas in Preschool. Brock’s Family owns Pillen Family Farms. Sarah grew up in Omaha but has extended family in the Lindsay, Humphrey, and Columbus areas. Sarah attended University of Nebraska and then went to nursing school at Bryan College of Health Sciences. Sarah went on to work in the field of MRI Technology. Brock attended Saint Isidore School as a child and the Pillen family is excited to carry on the tradition at Saint Isidore School.

Co-Chair: Amanda Taylor

Amanda and her husband Sam recently moved to our community from Denver, Colorado. Sam is a pilot and manages the flight program for NPPD. They have three children attending Saint Isidore’s School. Cash – 1st Grade, Rowan – Kindergarten, and Finley – Preschool. Amanda’s dad is a college football coach (currently the Head Football Coach at USD – Go Yotes!), so she grew up in a few college towns around the Midwest. Amanda attended The University of North Dakota with a background in kinesiology and has worked in medical sales. Amanda has had the opportunity to see several different school districts and is proud to have her children enrolled at Saint Isidore’s School.

Treasurer: Deirdre Schoenfelder

Deirdre and her husband Joe are highly involved, longstanding community members. Diedre is a Wayne State Grad, majored in Biology before going on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Dakota. Currently, Deirdre is a physical therapist at Columbus Community Hospital. Joe is very involved in the Catholic School Community. Joe is the maintenance manager for Scotus Central Catholic, the high school boys track coach, and junior high boys and girls basketball coach. Together, Deirdre and Joe have four girls – Addison – 9th Grade, Emerson – 3rd Grade, Kennason – 2nd Grade, Kylason – Kindergarten. Deirdre has held the treasurer position for Saint Isidore Home and School Association for several years and is very knowledgeable about the organization’s finances. The Schoenfelder Family is very proud to have their children enrolled at Saint Isidore School.

School Advisory Board Representative: Erin Schmidt

Erin and her husband Jason have five children – Lexi – 4th Grade, Briea – 2nd Grade, Mallory – Kindergarten, Nolan – Preschool, and Addison – 18 months. Erin grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Minnesota. She became a husker when she attended UNL for her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Erin has a background in business and has worked in education as well as the medical field in her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Jason’s family owns Shelby Lumber, a lumber yard and general contracting company. The Schmidts are very proud to have their children attending Saint Isidore School.
